In the first week of December, Berlin-based artist, educator, and independent publisher Claudia de la Torre will visit Hong Kong to mentor 8 local artist groups in creating their own photographic artists’ books.

Claudia de la Torre

原籍墨西哥，現居柏林的Claudia de la Torre ，一直致力於印刷媒介、概念性出版與裝置藝術的創作。2011年，她創立獨立出版社 backbonebooks以持續其藝術實踐，至今已出版 95 本作品。自2021年起，她開始舉辦藝術家書籍工作坊，通過合作和概念性的製書方法，協助創作者將其想法轉化為書籍。

Born in Mexico and currently based in Berlin, Claudia de la Torre has worked at the intersection of printed media, conceptual publications, and installation. In 2011, she founded backbonebooks, an independent publishing house to further her artistic vision, through which she has released 95 titles to date. Since 2021, she has led the Artists’ Books Workshop, helping creatives bring their ideas to life through a collaborative and conceptual approach to bookmaking.
